Return eligibility may vary depending on the product and manufacturer.

Products generally must be:

Unused.
Uninstalled.

Complete with all accessories and documentation.
Special-order, configured, activated, licensed, custom-programmed, opened, or installed products may not be returnable.

A restocking fee may apply.

8. Installation

Unless installation services are specifically included in the customer's agreement, product purchases do not include installation.

Access-control, electrical, door-locking, fire-alarm-interface, networking, and security products should be installed by appropriately qualified personnel.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that installations comply with applicable building, electrical, fire, accessibility, life-safety, and local code requirements.

9. Access Control and Security Systems

No electronic security system can guarantee that unauthorized access, theft, property damage, injury, cyberattack, equipment failure, or other security incident will never occur.

Hexium Security products and services are intended to assist with security management but are not insurance and are not a guarantee against loss.

Customers remain responsible for determining the security measures appropriate for their property and operations.

10. Facial Recognition and Biometric Features

Certain third-party products sold by Hexium Security may support facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, mobile credentials, or other biometric or identity-based access technologies.

Availability and operation of these features depend on the manufacturer and configuration.

  • Enrollment.

  • Notice.

  • Data retention.

  • Data deletion.

  • Employee use.

  • Tenant use.

  • Visitor use.

Hexium Security does not obtain ownership of biometric information merely because we sell equipment capable of using biometric features.

11. Network and Cybersecurity

Many security products require internet access, network connectivity, software accounts, cloud services, or local controllers.

Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate cybersecurity practices, including secure passwords, account management, software updates, network security, and access permissions unless those responsibilities are specifically included in a managed-service agreement.

12. Manufacturer Services

Some products may require third-party accounts, applications, subscriptions, licenses, cloud services, or manufacturer terms.

Your use of those products may therefore also be governed by the manufacturer's separate agreements and privacy policies.
